FilovoOur approach
Filovo is an independently operated collection of browser-based file tools. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the tools, create an optional account or contact us. For questions or privacy requests, use our contact form.
Your files stay on your device
The file tools in this release process selected files in your browser. They do not upload your files to Filovo, Firebase or Web3Forms for conversion. Processing uses your device’s memory; your original files are unchanged. Downloaded results remain wherever your browser saves them. Close the page to release the working session. We do not maintain a conversion history or a backup of your files.
Optional accounts
You can use every available tool without an account. If you sign in, Firebase Authentication processes your email address, display name, account identifiers, sign-in provider information and authentication-related technical data. Password authentication is handled by Firebase; Filovo does not store your password in browser preferences. Google sign-in shares the account information needed to authenticate you. An account does not upload files or synchronise saved tools.
Contact and feedback
When you submit a form, your name, email, topic and message are sent through Web3Forms to our support inbox. Web3Forms and our email provider process this information to deliver and manage your request. Technical information may also be used by the provider for spam and abuse prevention. Do not include passwords, identity documents or confidential file contents. See the Web3Forms privacy policy for its processing and retention practices.
Browser storage and preferences
Filovo stores your theme and saved-tool choices locally in your browser. These preferences are not linked to an online profile. We also store whether you have dismissed the privacy notice; this acknowledgement is not advertising consent. You can reopen the notice using “Cookies & privacy” in the footer or reset it by clearing browser site data. Sign-in uses Firebase’s authentication storage. Selecting “Remember me” keeps sign-in information on that browser; otherwise sign-in uses session persistence. Log out on shared devices. You can clear preferences from the account page or remove site data in your browser. This release includes no advertising trackers or conversion analytics.
Hosting and service providers
Firebase Hosting delivers this website and may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and security logs. Firebase Authentication provides optional sign-in. Web3Forms and email services deliver support messages. These providers may process information in countries outside your own. Read Firebase’s privacy information. We do not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed when necessary to meet a legal obligation or protect the service and its users.
Retention
We do not retain your converted files on a server. Account information remains until you delete your account, subject to the authentication provider’s security, backup and legal retention requirements. Support correspondence is kept as needed to answer and manage requests and meet applicable obligations. Provider logs, backups and message delivery records follow the relevant provider’s retention policies.
Your choices and requests
Use the tools as a guest, control browser storage, sign out or delete your account from the account page. Account deletion may require a recent sign-in. It does not automatically delete support correspondence or downloads on your device. To request access, correction or deletion of other personal information, or raise a privacy concern, select “Privacy request” on the contact form. Depending on your location, additional rights may apply. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
Security and younger users
We use HTTPS hosting, restrict browser connections and limit supported file sizes and formats. No website or browser can guarantee absolute security. Keep your browser updated and review results before relying on them. Filovo is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children below the age at which they may independently consent under applicable law. A parent or guardian can contact us about information submitted by a child.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when features or processing practices change. The date above identifies this version. Material changes will be reflected on this page. You can always contact us for clarification.
Tool settings, offline storage and transfers
Filovo remembers non-text tool settings such as quality, dimensions and format in local browser storage. Typed content, passwords, selected files and generated results are not saved in this storage. Recent undo states remain in the current tab’s memory until you start over or close the tab.
The web app caches public website resources, and Use offline downloads a selected tool’s libraries and sample files. These caches do not contain your selected files or conversion results. Clear downloaded tools from the Install page, or clear website data in your browser. Browsers may remove caches automatically. Account and support pages are excluded from the offline cache.
When you continue with a result in another tool, the file is passed directly between tabs using your browser. It is not sent to Filovo’s server. Shared settings links contain only the supported settings, not file contents or typed messages. A local signed-in/guest hint helps label the account link; it grants no access and Firebase still checks the session.
English OCR runs on your device. Its recognition engine and language files are downloaded from this website. Image files are not sent to a recognition provider. Image export re-encodes pixels without copying embedded EXIF/GPS metadata, but visible personal information remains in the image.
